BoredMate / 無聊約 helps people find nearby company for spontaneous activities. This policy explains what data the app may collect and how it is used.
Data We Collect
- Account information such as email address, display name, and phone verification status when sign-in is used.
- Profile information you provide, such as nickname, age range, interests, bio, mood, and optional photo URL.
- Approximate location and presence status only when bored status / nearby discovery is enabled.
- Activities you create or join, including activity type, time, location name, participant list, and chat membership.
- Chat messages sent in activity or direct conversations.
- Safety actions such as reports and blocks.
- Local preferences such as selected language and offline state.
How We Use Data
- To show nearby people and activities.
- To create activities, chats, and participant lists.
- To keep blocked users hidden from future interactions.
- To review safety reports and improve community trust.
- To maintain app functionality, debug issues, and prevent abuse.
Location Privacy
BoredMate is designed to share location only while bored status or nearby discovery is active. Turning bored status off should hide the user from nearby discovery. The app uses approximate nearby areas where possible and avoids showing exact home-like locations.

Third-Party Services
The app may use Firebase services for authentication, database storage, and app infrastructure. Apple services may be used for iOS distribution, sign-in, and platform features.
Retention
Account, profile, activity, chat, report, and block records may be kept while needed to operate the app, provide safety features, and comply with review or legal requirements. Local device data can be removed by deleting the app.
Safety
Reports and blocks are used to reduce unwanted interactions. For emergencies or immediate danger, contact local emergency services first.
Children
BoredMate is intended for adults and young adults. It is not intended for children under 13.
